Sept. 2015 – Travis Williams and Norman Chin join our growing team.
Travis graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging Science in May 2015. While working on his undergrad degree, Travis completed over 12 months of internships at various organization including Johnson & Johnson – producer of consumer healthcare products (Aveeno, Neutrogena, and First Aid), Church & Dwight – a producer of consumer products (Arm & Hammer, Lil Critters and Orajel) and Whitehouse Laboratories! While at RIT Travis joined Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity were he gained leaderships skills serving as the Chapters Treasurer for a semester and Chairman for various committees previous semesters. Since Travis’ first internship he was drawn to the testing side of packaging engineering science and is happy to have accepted a position with Whitehouse where his engineering background and hands on approach have proven to be a great asset.
Travis joins Norman Chin in the Package Testing Lab. Norman along with Travis, manage and execute the day to day package testing projects, compose comprehensive reports of analysis for each client and help maintain the cGMP regulated laboratory environment.
Having joined Whitehouse this summer, Norman directly manages various testing projects, with a specific focus on Packaging Material Testing; he is well versed in ASTM and ISO test standards. Prior to joining Whitehouse, Norman graduated from Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) and spent over thirty years working at Union Carbide Corporation/The Dow Chemical Company’s Polymers Division research & development, developing new products across several product areas (Films, Blow Molding, Injection Molding, Sheet Extrusion, Pipe Extrusion, Wire & Cable). Most recently, Norman worked at a large medical device manufacturer in Packaging Research & Development Lab, where he performed destructive and non-destructive package testing for ISO 11607 compliance.
His product development, technical support and problem solving skills are a unique asset to the Whitehouse Laboratories’ team.
Both Travis and Norman are excited to be part of the Whitehouse Labs’ team. Each brings unique skill sets to the team and Lab Management is thrilled to have them on board.
